Currently in the Ohio Glass Museum’s Gallery, you will see “A Very Private Collection…” featuring glass from 1875-1920. A mixed arrangement of seldom seen and very rare pieces of glass on loan from the collector will be in the OGM Gallery to dazzle the viewer. Multiple pieces of glass donated to OGM will be displayed in other cabinets in appreciation of the donors’ efforts to preserve our glass heritage. The museum collections will rotate in and out during other displays on loan throughout the coming years.
Regular museum tours are available from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday and also on Sundays, March thru October. Tour fees are $6; $5 Senior; $3 (6-18). Tours include a glass blowing or flame-working demo, a movie on the history of glass produced in Fairfield County and specifically in Lancaster, OH, and an opportunity to visit the museum’s Gift Shop. The Gift Shop is open 12:00 to 4:00 pm Tuesday thru Friday and during museum hours on weekends.
